Here are some of my expertise

Creative Engineering Activities

I was involved in establishing clear objectives for creating a landfill site. I performed the sampling of the waste from 45 buildings within the municipality. I was also involved in designing a system containing waste segregation, effective collection methods, and recycling facilities. I was also involved in GIS mapping of the site showing all the components. I prepared the bill of quantity (BOQ) and cost estimate of the work performed.

Software

● MS Office, AutoCAD, Sw Road, SAP 2000, Etabs, QGIS.

Codes and Standards

I followed the NS, IS and International Standards.

URBAN PLANNING

An urban planner will develop a plan for city expansion and consider important factors such as population growth, protected areas and more. They will meet with public officials and hold public forums to determine the best strategies for land usage and development.

Technical Problems and Solutions

I faced difficulty throughout the pavement design calculation portion of the project, specifically in estimating the optimal thickness for the sub-base, base, and premix carpet layers. I started a comprehensive analysis of the NRRS and TRRL-31 traffic class specifications to comprehend the regulatory requirements. I worked with expert pavement engineers to get insights into the particular soil conditions and traffic loads in the project region. I performed further field testing and soil investigations to enhance the material attributes utilized in the pavement design calculations. I incorporated the additional data into the design process to facilitate a more accurate assessment of the necessary thickness for each pavement layer. I executed the completed pavement design, using the lessons acquired during the challenging computation process.

Road Desing

I initiated a comprehensive traffic study, collecting data on existing traffic patterns, encompassing pedestrian, bike, and tractor traffic. I conducted origin/destination surveys to grasp the nature and volume of traffic movements. I analyzed the gathered data to determine the average daily traffic, considering vehicle types and future traffic projections for the proposed ring road. I examined the existing statistical data affecting traffic within the influence area, conducting traffic counts and origin/destination surveys. In the influence area, I collected data on the present volume of goods, animal, and pedestrian movements, both motorized and non-motorized. I observed and recorded traffic information based on field observations and local insights. My survey centers of analyzing traffic flow were tindhara and thumki. I tabulated the results of traffic flow considering pedestrian, bike and tractor. I calculated the total load, considering tractor and bike weights, and projected the number of trucks needed based on this load. I assumed that 50% of the load would be carried by heavy trucks, resulting in the estimation of 1 truck. I projected future traffic by considering a 15-year period post-completion, ensuring the road's adequacy for anticipated traffic volume.

Bus Terminal 2017-2018

The Buspark project was begun via extensive site inspections, team responsibility separation, and stakeholder involvement for community-centric design. Environmental sustainability was guaranteed by an Environmental Impact Assessment, collaboration with utilities, and advocating for green building approaches. The bus park's design was controlled, concentrating on traffic flow, cooperation with professionals, and conformity to design standards. Safety and accessibility were addressed by the construction of stormwater drainage, priority compliance, and rigorous risk management reviews. The budget for the Buspark project was efficiently handled through the distribution of resources, control over spending, and preservation of financial viability.

Environmental analysis 2017-2018

I completed a detailed site study for the Buspark project, analyzing accessibility, impact on the environment, and potential growth alternates. I prepared an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the green park project, evaluating ecological effects and offering reduction solutions. I managed the design and construction of the new bus park, supervising traffic management, parking, and passenger facilities. Additionally, I performed the design analysis for the bus park, concentrating on traffic flow, stormwater drainage, safety, and accessibility compliance. I also highlighted budget management for the Buspark project, guaranteeing optimum resource allocation and executing tight cost control methods to ensure project success within the allocated funds.

Creative Works

I began a thorough investigation into sustainable landscape design, working with specialists in horticulture and environmental engineering to develop an innovative strategy, integrating drip irrigation systems for efficient water use, and selecting native plants that were able to withstand the region's climates. I then effectively incorporated these sustainable ways into the concept to ensure that the greenery park attained its goals of environmental sustainability and visual appeal.

Technical Problem and Solution

During the project, I ran across a significant technical issue. I faced an issue with integrating sustainable landscaping solutions into the greenery park element while maintaining consistency with the whole architecture and infrastructure. The complexity developed due to the requirement for advanced irrigation systems, soil issues, and the selection of plants that could flourish in the specified habitat. I launched a full investigation of ecologically friendly landscaping methods and coordinated with specialists in horticulture and environmental engineering to design a unique solution which included implementing drip irrigation systems to maximize water consumption and selecting native plants that were tolerant to the local climatic conditions. I worked closely with the landscaping team to incorporate these sustainable techniques smoothly into the project, ensuring that the greenery park not only accomplished aesthetic aims but also coincided with ecological sustainability objectives. By tackling this technological difficulty proactively, I not only boosted the visual attractiveness of the Buspark but also contributed to the larger environmental aims of the project, achieving a healthy balance between infrastructure growth and ecological conscience.
